My Journey: From Developer to Growth Catalyst

I started my career as a .NET full-stack developer, building enterprise-grade web applications. What began as a focus on a single application quickly expanded into projects involving multiple systems—marking the start of my journey into systems integration.

Early on, I explored freelance work, diving into web applications, databases, and APIs. I’m proud to say that some of my first freelance clients were companies I had previously worked for—proof that trust and authentic relationships have been central to my work from the very beginning.

As integration became a recurring theme in my projects, I joined a digital agency specializing in e-commerce solutions. This move allowed me to fully immerse myself in systems integration. The company later became part of Bounteous, opening doors to projects beyond e-commerce. I had the privilege of working with major retail, healthcare, energy, music, and government vendors, applying my integration expertise to diverse challenges.

One standout project was with a major music company, where we helped them select and implement an e-commerce platform. It was my first opportunity to blend consulting with technical leadership, coordinating integration efforts between two engineering teams. Successfully delivering a complex, subscription-based solution confirmed what I already suspected—I thrive on helping businesses solve complex challenges through thoughtful, strategic solutions.

From there, my projects grew in complexity and impact:

  • Data architecture assessments for a major nuclear energy company.
  • E-commerce platform selection guides for global healthcare and food companies.
  • Playbooks for multi-platform government vendors to streamline operations.

While the technical side of integration was exciting, what truly captivated me was the strategic consulting work—helping businesses not just solve immediate problems, but set themselves up for long-term growth. My time at Bounteous transformed how I approach client work. Clients weren’t just clients—they were partners. Together, we co-designed solutions that not only worked but gave businesses a competitive edge for years to come.
